July 2017: Before we move out to Nelson, we meet with the wonderful Valérie D. Walker for some training in indigo dyeing.
August 2nd: We arrive at the Oxygen Arts Centre studio space, assemble our supplies and tools, and begin initial preparation of our indigo dye vat!
August 3rd, 2017: All the fabric is cut to size and scoured, and the indigo vat is fermenting, so it's time to tie, clamp, wrap and/or fold our fabric for dyeing.
August 4th, 2017: Our first indigo vat looks ready for dyeing!We prep the second indigo vat and follow through with some test dips in our first vat.
